DETAILS: The halls at American Career College are filled with teddy bears. Students and faculty at all five Southern California campuses of organized the third annual drive to collect new teddy bears and children’s books for kids who are suffering from serious illness or injury. The teddy bears and books will be donated to local hospitals in LA and Orange Counties, starting with White Memorial Medical Center, a nonprofit hospital in Los Angeles. The drive is part of student community service at ACC, which focuses on health care and nursing education.
WHEN/WHERE: ACC students and faculty will deliver teddy bears and books to White Memorial Medical Center on TUESDAY, MARCH 11 at 10:00AM, 1720 East Cesar E Chavez Avenue, Los Angeles. Visuals abound: students will fill an ACC bus with teddy bears, which will be unloaded at the hospital. Interviews available with ACC president, student organizers, faculty participants, and representative from the hospital.
