A unique new publication launched this month and the debut issue can be found on shelves across Arizona; Green Living AZ Magazine is a monthly, eco-conscious lifestyle magazine whose mission is “To educate our readership through a positive lens about simple green solutions and options for our daily lives and our ability to decrease our environmental impact.” With modern content that is focused under three disctinct sections (Live Green, Work Green and Play Green) the magazine showcases the latest in green news, sustainable business practices, products, art, beauty, wellness and home trends. Green Living AZ is a green publication printed on recycled, post-consumer-waste paper, using soy-based inks and no UV-coating. The magazine’s debut issue is available at a variety of locations throughout the state, including popular stores Whole Foods, AJ’s Fine Foods, Fresh & Easy and Sunflower Farmer’s Market. Donkersley, an Arizona native, is a graduate of Xavier College Prep in Phoenix and Arizona State University, and also earned a Master of Arts degree from Argosy University. She has been a professional writer for more than eight years, editor of online publications and served as a faculty member at Mesa Community College since 2003. Green Living AZ was created by long-time Valley publisher John Stacy and Dorlissa Morales, who has been a publisher in Tucson for the past 12 years and serves as Associate Publisher of the magazine. Other staff includes Art Director Kate Larson and Organizational Director Angela Sinagoga-Stacy. Sales staff throughout Arizonq includes Anthony DeWitt, Denise Gullickson, Tina Connors, Todd Beck, Michael Burton and Kathy Peterson.
Green Living AZ will feature a panel of local experts in sustainability and wellness practices, including articles and columns from Charlie Popeck LEED AP, Doreen Pollack, Derrick Mains and Jeff Frost LEEP AP. Their Green Panel will provide relevant, timely information and respond to questions from readers.
